An interest in artist development runs through all of my projects, be that producing new commissions with artists, mentoring and coaching, or in the programmes I set up for audiences.
For eight years I worked as Communications Manager with Jerwood Arts, the leading artist development funder in the UK, gaining key understanding about transformative moments and artists’ needs, particularly early in their careers and at key moments of transition.
At Green Man I provide curatorial and logistical support for commissioned artists over a 12-month period.
Artist development is at the heart of the commissioning and production process, and I run an artist residency throughout the festival with invited speakers and a supportive peer group.
